Reimagining Justice - A New Vision for Safer Communities and a Stronger Democracy in Florida
The theme of the conference stems from the recently released FRRC 2021 Policy Platform. FRRC’s far-reaching platform includes policy ideas meant to transform the criminal legal system, create a more vibrant democracy, and improve the way we approach public safety in Florida. This transformative agenda is informed by conversations, meetings, and surveys with Florida returning citizens from all walks of life and political persuasions. Over 7,000 people with past convictions filled out FRRC’s policy surveys, and thousands more took part in our local chapters and membership activities around the platform.
Our Mission Statement- FRRC is a grassroots, membership organization run by Returning Citizens (Formerly Convicted Persons) who are dedicated to ending the disenfranchisement and discrimination against people with convictions, and creating a more comprehensive and humane reentry system that will enhance successful reentry, reduce recidivism, and increase public safety.
